CARTIER
JN.MELLOR CLUB have worked with Cartier’s teams on created the Temple windows decors for CARTIER – Paris 13 rue de la Paix, New-York 5th avenue, London New Bond street and Tokyo Azabudai Hill. From sleeping leather stocks to unique and made to measure windows decors for the boutiques made with this fascinated material to highlight the most precious Haute Joaillerie pieces.
JN.MELLOR CLUB transforms windows into alcoves lined with washi paper; to anchor the notion of CARTIER magician each sculpture plays with gravity and impossible balance, in refined shades of sheathed and hand-sewn leather, set on elegant wooden structures evocative of the Japanese Tokonoma.
MONOMI II
Monomi was reactivated and enhanced for Kyoto’s Nuit Blanche in October 2024 at Bridge Studio in collaboration with the artist duo Disconoma (Fanny Terno and Thomas Vauthier).
Monomi II is a protocol for manipulating art objects conceived as the sketch of a new contemporary rituality, with gestures at the intersection of dance, exhibition design, and the tea ceremony. Monomi draws on tea ceremony gestures related to purification and the presentation of tools as modes of revealing and handling objects, combining both the seasonal imagery of the tea world and that of Japanese craftsmanship.

MONOMI I
In JN Mellor Club's work, it's as important to create objects as it is to offer them the possibilities of use, the conditions for displacement and to create their own mythology.
During his residency at Villa Kujoyama, JN.Mellor Club invites another duo of visual artists: Fanny Terno and Thomas Vauthier (DISCONOMA) to question the status of these objects created during the residency in Kyoto in a performative proposition, sketching out a new ritual borrowing from the purification gestures echoing the tea ceremony. An alternative theatrical moment between dance, manipulation and ceremony.

This is the story of a "celestial nail", a ceramic nail created by tha artist Vincent Mesaros, broken during a vernissage, then "repaired" with a leather bow into which we slipped a pewter bone, a dialogue presented at Bienvenue Design at the Hôtel de la Louisiane in September 2022 during Paris Design Week.
